Susan Rice on Investigating Origins of Russia Probe: 'I Have No Idea What DOJ is Doing'

Journalist Nicholas Ballasy speaks with Susan Rice, former National Security Advisor in the Obama administration.

WASHINGTON – Susan Rice, former national security advisor to President Barack Obama, said she has “no idea” what the Justice Department is doing with its investigation into the origins of the Trump campaign and Russia collusion probe during Obama’s time in office.

Rice was asked if she thinks DOJ will find any wrongdoing on the part of the Obama administration during the course of its investigation.

“I have no idea what DOJ is doing,” Rice replied on Wednesday.

DOJ’s inspector general Michael Horowitz is currently investigating how the Russia collusion probe began. Attorney General William Barr recently appointed a U.S. attorney to investigate the origins of the probe as well.

Rice declined to comment when asked for her personal opinion of DOJ “investigating the investigators” who established the Russia collusion probe.
