R&B star R. Kelly has been arrested on charges related to child pornography and obstruction of justice. The 53-year-old singer will be charged with 13 (thirteen!) crimes. Although he was arrested in Chicago, he will be taken to New York.
U.S. attorney spokesman Joseph Fitzpatrick explains that R. Kelly is suspected of having committed some truly horrific crimes. The counts include “enticement of a minor and obstruction of justice,” he said late Thursday night, adding that more information would be released today, Friday.
In February of this year. R. Kelly was arrested on 10 counts, involving four women in total, three of whom were minors when the singer allegedly abused them. And then, at the end of May, 11 more sex-related counts were added to the growing list of crimes.
In other words, it seems like R&B has its very own Jeffrey Epstein. If the accusations are to be believed, the singer didn’t just make “one misstep,” this was systemic.
Let us hope that he’ll be aggressively prosecuted. Society — and especially its children — has to be protected against this scum. In fact, if it was up to me, I’d make it possible to give them the death penalty. There truly is no lower lifeform than that of a girl-abuser. They’re the scum of the earth, despicable beings who deserve the most severe punishment possible.
