Good Wednesday morning.

Here is what’s on the president’s agenda today:

  • The president has lunch with the vice president
  • President Trump presents the Medal of Honor

WHA’ HAPPEN?

Yesterday, prosecutors inexplicably dropped all the charges against suspected hate crime hoaxster Jussie Smollett. Earlier this year, Smollett claimed that as he was walking to get Subway at 2 a.m. on one of the coldest days of the year in one of the coldest cities in the country, he was assaulted by Trumpsters who shouted anti-gay Trumpy things at him, sprayed liquid on him and put some sort of noose around his neck. People went bananas as they do when there might be a Trumpy crime. Everyone knows that racist Trumpers skulk around in sub-zero temperatures with nooses and noxious liquids in case they come face-to-face with a viable hate crime target. Plausible. Two men who worked with Smollett and were his trainers came forward and admitted that Smollett had paid them to beat him up. There is video of these gentlemen buying the material used in the “crime.” A grand jury indicted Smollett on numerous felony counts. And then it all went bye-bye, down the memory hole.

Here’s what happened:

[Cook County State’s Attorney Kim ]Foxx’s call to [Police Supt. Eddie] Johnson came after an influential supporter of the “Empire” actor reached out to Foxx personally: Tina Tchen, a Chicago attorney and former chief of staff for former First Lady Michelle Obama, according to emails and text messages provided by Foxx to the Chicago Sun-Times in response to a public records request.

Tchen passed Foxx’s number to a relative of the actor, and the ensuing conversations with the family member were cited by Foxx last month as the reason she recused herself from Smollett’s prosecution as the actor faces disorderly conduct charges for allegedly making a false police report.

Recuse, you say? Right on.

“Spoke to the superintendent earlier. He is going to make the ask. Trying to figure out logistics. I’ll keep you posted,” Foxx wrote the relative that evening.

“OMG this would be a huge victory,” the relative texted in reply.

Smollett will have to forfeit his $10K bail money and the records are sealed so we will never know what kind of case the state had against Smollett. Even Chicago’s feckless mayor and the police superintendent came out publicly and blasted Foxx’s decision. The Fraternal Order of Police want the FBI involved. This is a horrible mess. I predict an uptick in hate crime hoaxes. When you’ve lost The Axe…

Chicago Police Department Repeatedly Refused To Disclose Jussie Smollett Investigation Costs

Joe Biden is sorry

Crazy, handsy Uncle Joe is getting ready to run for president by apologizing for his treatment of Anita Hill and the “white guys.”

“She paid a terrible price. She was abused through the hearing,” Biden said of Hill during the Biden Courage Awards ceremony in New York. “To this day, I regret I couldn’t get her the kind of hearing she deserved.”

Biden was the chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee during the Clarence Thomas SCOTUS confirmation hearings. Anita Hill alleged that Thomas sexually harassed her. Biden blamed Thomas’ confirmation on a “bunch white guys,” which is kinda crazy since all I hear about is how “white guys” are racists monsters.

“There were a bunch of white guys…hearing this testimony in the Senate Judiciary Committee. So when Anita Hill came to testify, she faced a committee that didn’t fully understand what the hell it was all about. And to this day I regret I couldn’t come up with a way to get her the kind of hearing she deserved given the courage she showed by reaching out to us,” Biden added, noting that he ultimately opposed Thomas’s confirmation.

Whatever. Has Uncle Joe sufficiently mea culpa-ed his way out this #metoo stain?

Rep. Eric Swalwell is a #dossiertruther

I happened to have Martha MacCallum’s show on last night and one of her guests was barking moonbat Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.). My jaw dropped when Swalwell asserted that nothing in the salacious and unverified dossier had been proven “not factual.” Actually, not much in the dossier has been proven factual. There’s a difference, but the left is using a new legal standard. “Can you prove you are not guilty?” Can we prove Trump didn’t collude with RUSSIA? I don’t know, has it been proven “not factual” that Eric Swalwell isn’t buggering little boys?

Our legal system does not work like this. The author of the dossier, ex-foreign spy Christopher Steele, admitted the dossier was raw information and needed verification. Holy James Comey, disgraced, fired FBI director and deep Twitter thinker, stated under oath the dossier was “salacious and unverified.” But Swalwell — he’s going to double down on that pile of garbage.

Watch for yourself and check out MacCallum’s gobsmacked face. “Are you serious?” Yes, Martha, he is.

Deranged.
