The Morning Briefing: DO NOT TAUNT Elaine Chao and Much, Much More

Good Wednesday morning.

  • The president has lunch with the secretary of state

The new normal

The latest victim of the progressive war on Republican women is Elaine Chao, Trump’s transportation secretary. People who live and work inside the beltway know about Elaine Chao and they know YOU DO NOT F— WITH ELAINE CHAO. Seriously. She will cut a bitch. I say this with compete and total respect for her. You go, Elaine.

Protestors targeting Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell found out that he is married to Chao, and they found out hard.

She’s such a badass! Here’s the leader of the confrontational pack:

It’s not your university, you don’t own Georgetown. What are they teaching you there?

It’s unfortunate that the cultural and political elites have harvested a mob of emotion-driven useful idiots who act out their violent tantrums against imaginary Nazi adversaries. There’s going to be some serious violence and people are going to get hurt. If Trump were a Nazi, you progressive nutters wouldn’t be walking around freely, performing your grievances on MSNBC, CNN or Twitter. You’d be imprisoned and killed. That’s how the real Nazis handled their detractors.

One more thing I would like to point out: many of these confrontational attacks are against women: Kristjen Nielson, Elaine Chao, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, Betsy DeVos, Pam Bondi. What do we make of this? When will we see these brave resistors get in Maddog Mattis’ face?

17 states sue over Trump immigration policy

Seventeen states led by their Democrat attorneys general are suing the Trump administration because the administration is separating children from their illegal border-crossing parents. And just as is the case for American citizens, we don’t lock up people’s children with them when they are put into prison for breaking the law.

“The administration’s practice of separating families is cruel, plain and simple,” New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal said in a statement. “Every day, it seems like the administration is issuing new, contradictory policies and relying on new, contradictory justifications. But we can’t forget: the lives of real people hang in the balance.”

As we all know, the president has signed an executive order halting the separations, but who cares because #resist.

However, the lawsuit claims the order is riddled with caveats and fails to reunite parents and children who have already been torn apart. They accuse the administration of denying the parents and children due process; denying the immigrants, many of whom are fleeing gang violence in Central America, their right to seek asylum; and being arbitrary in applying the policy.

If these illegal border crossers are fleeing threats of violence in their home countries, why aren’t they just staying in Mexico after they escape? Why aren’t they appearing before an official port of entry to apply for asylum instead of illegally sneaking into the U.S.? I suspect people who try and sneak into the U.S. illegally are involved in other illegal practices like human/child sex trafficking and drug running. Who knows if those are even the children of the people in question.

CNN and the WaPo were so excited to tell us about the 10-year-old child with Down syndrome who was ripped away from her mother by Trump’s border goons. But that wasn’t the whole story:

“We had separated this child with Down Syndrome from her mother as a result of a smuggling attempt on June 3,” DHS spokeswoman Katie Waldman revealed in an interview on Breitbart News Daily on SiriusXM.

Waldman said that the girl’s mother was not a product of the DHS zero-tolerance enforcement at the border and was not being prosecuted. She also said that three of the children, who were U.S. citizens, were released to an aunt.

There’s so much propaganda. It’s safest not to believe anything you read that sounds a little too convenient to particular political interests.

RUSSIA Round-Up

The DOJ continues to stonewall the congressional oversight process. Now the House is considering a vote on a useless resolution, I guess to super-duper-deluxe-triple-seriously demand the rogue agency turn over documents relating to the snoops dispatched to GET TRUMP.

The House Rules Committee is preparing to advance a resolution demanding that the Justice Department turn over reams of documents connected to special counsel Robert Mueller’s ongoing investigation, a move that would put the measure on the cusp of consideration by the House as soon as this week.

The committee is slated to consider the proposal on Wednesday afternoon, a day after it was approved by the Judiciary Committee. The proposal, offered by Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), demands that the Justice Department turn over a broad slate of documents by July 6.

What a joke. The DOJ, led by the attorney general and probable coup participant Rod Rosenstein, is still not going to turn over what the oversight committees demand because there is no consequence if they continue to disobey. And because the House does not engage in budget appropriation any longer, passing a giant package funding deal instead, the House cannot use any substantial leverage to force compliance. Those documents would probably be in the hands of Congress already if the DOJ and FBI suddenly had a credible threat of a 40% budget cut. Instead the #resistanceDOJ is going to wait it out until November, when they are betting the Democrats will control the House and the investigations and hearings will all turn toward the Trump administration. I’m certain the DOJ resistance has been preparing for that day with all sorts of extra-constitutional ways.

Deep state spokesmouth CNN wants you to know that the chair of the House Intelligence Committee, Devin Nunes, is NOT de-escalating despite NOT having his constitutionally-mandated oversight requests honored. I’m sure CNN is flummoxed: why hasn’t Nunes just given up?

House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes is showing no signs of de-escalating a conflict with the Justice Department over the Russia investigation, hitting the department late Tuesday with an expansive new request for “any contacts” between FBI intelligence sources and over a dozen Trump campaign associates, according to a letter obtained by CNN.

The new request seeks information not only on “FBI informants,” but also on “undercover agents, and/or confidential human sources” who interacted with former Trump associates before July 31, 2016 — the start of the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation into connections between the Trump campaign and Russia.

The list of Trump associates Nunes indicated he’s interested in includes: Michael Caputo, Sam Clovis, Michael Cohen, Michael Flynn, Corey Lewandowski, Stephen Miller, Peter Navarro, Sam Nunberg, George Papadopoulos, Carter Page, Walid Phares, Joseph Schmitz, Roger Stone and Donald Trump Jr.

Good luck with that.
