New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is in an unenviable position. Once again, a powerful man from a powerful family is being forced to clean up after the clumsy mistakes of his weak, stupid, useless brother. And if that reminds you of an old movie, you’d better keep it to yourself.

Maybe you haven’t seen Chris Cuomo throwing a temper tantrum over being called “Fredo,” or maybe you’re like me and you can watch it over and over:

That was a week ago, and you might think the Cuomo family would be glad to let the story fade away. Wrong, stupido! It’s about a little thing called onore.

Joseph Spector, Democrat & Chronicle:

Gov. Andrew Cuomo issued a strong rebuke Monday to movies and shows that portray Italians as mobsters after his younger brother and CNN anchor got into a heated argument last week with a man who called him “Fredo” from “The Godfather…”

“Italian Americans are not Mafia. They are not Mafia. Don’t you dare liken my family to the family you saw in ‘The Godfather’ or ‘The Sopranos…'”

“Mario Cuomo lived with those rumors of the Mafia. They hurt him. They scarred him… Every Italian lives with it. Don’t you glorify it. And don’t you repeat it, and don’t you institutionalize it.”

Aaaaaohhhhh! Bada bing, stugats! Now that’s an offer you can’t refuse. You’d better take it, or Chris will f***in’ throw you down those stairs like a f***in’ punk. He’ll f***in’ wreck your s***.

Hey, can you guess whose fault it is that Chris Cuomo screwed up? You guessed it!

Don’t you love being scolded by that guy? And he gets away with it because as far as the media is concerned, Chris is “a friend of ours.” He’s protected.

Chris Cuomo didn’t lose his temper because the name “Fredo” is racist. It isn’t. He lost his temper because he’s a hothead and he’s not very smart. That’s also why nobody watches his show. He embarrassed himself, his network, and his family. His problems are nobody’s fault but his own, and that’s la verità.
