Criticizing Omarosa Suddenly Racist, Sexist

As I watch the Trump/Omarosa mess and try to decide who to root for, it’s like I’ve been thrown into a pit of vipers and told to pick a favorite. Decisions, decisions. But have you noticed how many Dems have started defending Omarosa since she got fired again and made her big heel turn? It’s really opened the libs’ eyes. Why, they’ve suddenly realized she’s black. And a woman!

But first, a bit of background. Remember this?

“Every critic, every detractor will have to bow down to President Trump. It’s everyone who’s ever doubted Donald, who ever disagreed, who ever challenged him. It is the ultimate revenge to become the most powerful man in the universe.”

And that was after he’d already fired her the first time.

I didn’t like Omarosa when she told me to “bow down” to Trump, and I don’t like her now. But ever since she started saying things that Democrats want her to say, criticizing her has become racist. And sexist!

Now that she’s badmouthing Trump, he has a reputation to… uphold? Downhold? I’m not sure what the verb is, but he’s gotta Trump it up:

This isn’t anything new, of course. The 45th POTUS tweets like this regularly. And it’s hardly the first time he’s likened someone to a dog. He did the same thing to Glenn Beck, Erick Erickson, Chuck Todd, Ted Cruz, Mitt Romney, Kristen Stewart(!), and whoever else comes up when you google it. But none of those people were black women who might be useful in the media’s ongoing war on Trump.

Aaron Blake, WaPo:

President Trump has spent a good portion of the last 24 hours arguing he doesn’t use racial slurs. And in the course of doing it, he used a sexist one…

“When you give a crazed, crying lowlife a break, and give her a job at the White House, I guess it just didn’t work out,” Trump said. “Good work by General Kelly for quickly firing that dog!”

And of course, now it’s especially bad because he’s saying it about a black woman.

By way of contrast, here’s what you find when you look for WaPo’s defense of Omarosa before she got thrown off the Trump Train:

Omarosa may or may not have evidence that Trump said a bad word. She may or may not be lying this time. This scandal may or may not make more of a difference to our lives than the last few dozen Trump scandals this month. At this point, it’s all the same to me.

Once her book fizzles out and the media has no more use for her and she runs out of money, all she has to do is start praising Trump again. All will be forgiven in Trumpland. He only remembers the last thing you said about him, and it makes you either his best friend or his worst enemy.

All Omarosa has to do to get back into his good graces is… bow down.

Not me. I spent eight long years being called a racist for criticizing the president. I refused to join Obama’s cult of personality, no matter how many Democrats lied about me. I refuse to join the cult of personality that’s grown around Obama’s successor, no matter how many Republicans lie about me.

But I haven’t been deranged by identity politics either. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Trump insults anybody who angers him, regardless of color. He’s an equal-opportunity jerk.
