American Urban Radio Networks White House correspondent April Ryan, who is also a CNN political analyst, embarrassed herself on Twitter today, falsely tweeting that President Trump was “heckled and booed” during a White House event.
The president on Tuesday replaced the Philadelphia Eagles’ planned visit to the White House with a “Celebration of America” event featuring the U.S. Marine Band and the U.S. Army Chorus.
After they performed “God Bless America” and “The Star-Spangled Banner,” the president stepped up to the podium to deliver some remarks.
In a now-deleted tweet, Ryan said:
Breaking: Reporters on the South Lawn have confirmed the @realDonaldTrump was heckled and booed when he came out to celebrate America.
— AprilDRyan (@AprilDRyan) June 5, 2018
But nothing of the sort had been “confirmed.” In her rush to report something that would reflect badly on Trump, Ryan had stepped on a fake news rake.
What the videotape makes absolutely clear is that, yes, Trump was indeed heckled by some lefty nutjob at the event, but the patriotic crowd had booed the heckler.
“Stop hiding behind the armed services and the National Anthem!” the heckler bellowed, while surprised members of the audience looked around and lustily booed.
“Thank you very much, everybody,” Trump said. “Appreciate it.”
You can hear the incident in question more clearly here.
The notoriously anti-Trump CNN reporter went on to tweet out some corrections after her first tweet got thousands of likes and retweets, but as is usually the case with fake news tweets, her corrections only received a tiny fraction of the attention the original, inaccurate tweet got.
Breaking: reporters are rewatching the event and found a heckler in the crowd started asking questions of @realDonaldTrump and the heckler was booed. The heckler was escorted out of the event. The booes were for the heckler

The original breaking boo tweet was deleted as reporters on the South Lawn who told of the booign and heckling did not see all of what happened on the other side of the lawn. After the tape was watched the heckler was booed not @realDonaldTrump

Ryan has been caught spreading fake news many times in the past and amazingly enough, her mistakes always seem to put the Trump administration in a negative light.
Just last week she shared a story from The Root that suggested Trump was running a child sex-trafficking ring. Last Thanksgiving Ryan accused press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders of posting a fake picture of a chocolate pecan pie that she claimed to have made herself.
I am not trying to be funny but folks are already saying #piegate and #fakepie Show it to us on the table with folks eating it and a pic of you cooking it. I am getting the biggest laugh out of this. I am thankful for this laugh on Black Friday! https://t.co/ifeSBlSZW7

Back in December, Ryan spread a fake news story about former White House aide Omarosa Manigault-Newman getting fired and escorted out of the White House.
According to multiple sources Omarosa did not resign. She was even escorted out of he building and off campus.
— AprilDRyan (@AprilDRyan) December 13, 2017
Sources say General Kelly did the firing and Omarosa is alleged to have acted very vulgar and cursed a lot and said she helped elect President Trump. The word is a General Kelly had it and got rid of her.

The Secret Service debunked the story:
Reporting regarding Secret Service personnel physically removing Omarosa Manigault Newman from the @WhiteHouse complex is incorrect.
— U.S. Secret Service (@SecretService) December 13, 2017
The Secret Service was not involved in the termination process of Ms Manigault Newman or the escort off of the complex. Our only involvement in this matter was to deactivate the individual's pass which grants access to the complex.
