Former Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina endorsed Ted Cruz at a campaign rally in Miami today. Fiorina told the crowd she didn’t vote for herself in the Virginia primary last Tuesday, even though it was “kind of a thrill” to see her name on the ballot. “I checked the box for Ted Cruz and I am here to tell you why,” Fiorina said.
“Ted Cruz is a fearless fighter for our constitutional rights. He has spent his life protecting Americans’ God-given liberties, and he has always stood by his word. Unlike the status-quo political class in D.C., Ted Cruz didn’t cower when he got to Washington – he stood unequivocally for the American people. I know Ted, and he’ll do the same as president,” said the former CEO of Hewlett Packard.
Fiorina called on fellow conservatives to go to the polls next Tuesday and vote to “take our party back.” Voters will be voting in several key states on March 15, including Ohio, Florida, Missouri and Illinois. “It is time to take our government back. It is time to take our country back and so it is time now to unite behind the one man who can beat Donald Trump, who can beat Hillary Clinton,” Fiorina said. “It is time to unite behind Ted Cruz.”
Fiorina also made the point that Hillary has made millions selling influence in Washington, and Trump has made billions buying politicians like Hillary. “The truth is that Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are two sides of the same coin,” she said.
