Close your eyes and imagine if Marco Rubio were president right now (but then keep reading this post). We wouldn’t have a president who has said crass things about women (at the very least). We wouldn’t have an anti free-trade “Republican.” We wouldn’t have a constant anti-media battle. And we wouldn’t have nearly this amount of “where-there’s-smoke-there’s-fire” incidents. We’d have a Republican president that we could actually be proud of. Now open your eyes (okay, you probably had them open to read that, but let’s pretend…), and come to the realization that a top national security expert just testified in the Senate that Rubio’s chances were purposefully hurt by the Russians. He said, “Russia’s overt media outlets and covert trolls sought to sideline opponents on both sides of the political spectrum with adversarial views towards the Kremlin.” In other words, they may have handpicked Trump because he was friendly to Russia’s dictatorial regime, as opposed to Rubio who was espousing a sensible foreign policy.
