Al Franken Was Called out for His Shady Behavior in the Senate

Sen. Al Franken (D-MN) tried to insult Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) at a Judiciary Committee hearing, while Cruz was absent. Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) wasn’t having it, saying: “I object to the senator disparaging a fellow member of the Committee here in his absence.” The two senators then got into a fiery exchange, and even demanded that the chair of the Committee, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), get involved. I think this may be one of the most heated moments between senators that I’ve seen in quite a while!
