Today, the COVID pandemic feels like a surreal nightmare—something we lived through, yet still find hard to believe actually happened. The same can be said for the Biden presidency. It’s almost unbelievable that anyone seriously argued Joe Biden was fully sharp and in command. Looking back, it’s hard to imagine anyone buying the White House spin about his mental fitness. And yet, the question lingers: did everyone in the White House knowingly lie to the American people, or were there actually some deluded enough to believe their own propaganda?
The answer is now crystal clear thanks to a bombshell interview between Ezra Klein and Jake Tapper—Biden's mental decline was deliberately concealed by a small cabal of enablers known as "the Politburo." According to Tapper, five individuals bear primary responsibility for this deception. “Joe Jill and Hunter and Mike Donilon and Steve Ricchetti," explained Tapper.
These key players orchestrated an elaborate facade to hide Biden's deteriorating condition from the American people through early 2025, and they knew exactly what they were doing. White House insiders kept pushing the absurd narrative that while Biden couldn't "perform" the presidency publicly, he was somehow "better than ever" as a decision maker behind closed doors.
But, are we really supposed to believe that no one else knew the truth?

“Throughout this whole period, like many political reporters, I am constantly asking people in the White House: How’s Joe Biden in meetings? How’s he doing?” Klein recalled. “And they all say, to a person — the line you often hear is: He can perform the presidency, but he can’t ‘perform’ the presidency. His communication skills have degraded, but as a decision maker, he’s better than ever.”
That internal spin campaign, according to Klein, worked on much of the press. “That kept a lot of people from writing about what was in front of your face,” he admitted. “You think: Well, these people are seeing things I’m not. If they tell me he’s good in the meetings — I don’t know if he’s good in the meetings.”
“Yes, they were lying to themselves. They were lying to others,” Tapper said bluntly. “But the definition of a cover-up is when you are hiding something that is an ugly fact. And the ugly fact is that the Joe Biden we all saw at the debate on June 27, 2024, did not just step out of nowhere. That was Joe Biden. And that was the logical consequence of what they had been hiding, in a big way, since 2023.”
Of course, Tapper is still trying to let the media (which includes himself) off the hook for covering up what they could see clearly in front of their faces. There’s no doubt that the mainstream media's willful blindness is equally damning. Rather than trusting abundant video evidence of Biden's decline—which they dismissively labeled "cheap fakes"—they relied on false assurances from his inner circle that everything was fine.
So yes, this was a cover-up—plain and simple. But, not one limited to the “Politburo.”
The Biden White House knew it. His inner circle may have been the most directly involved, but the effort extended far beyond them. The entire Democratic Party, the White House staff, and the Biden campaign machine were all in on the act. They didn’t just spin talking points—they engineered a full-scale operation to conceal Biden’s decline. They outfitted him with special shoes for stability, rerouted him to use the short stairs on Air Force One, and whisked him away to Delaware for nearly half his presidency. These weren’t random choices—they were deliberate strategies designed to hide the truth. These didn’t happen without everyone knowing why it was happening. It would be impossible to coordinate all of this without people knowing what’s going on. This wasn’t some innocent case of mass delusion—it was a calculated, cynical deception that prioritized political power over the safety and security of the nation.
But with Trump back in the White House, accountability may finally be on the horizon. The people who orchestrated this cover-up could soon face the consequences they’ve long evaded.
