The Dizzying Media Spin of Bidenomics Will Make You Puke

I don’t have to tell you about the economy for you to know what’s what.

You feel the pain of Bidenomics when you go shopping, fill up your gas tank, pay your bills, etc. Making the situation worse is Joe Biden going before the television cameras and insisting that everything is great, the economy is booming, wages are up, and inflation is going down.

It’s horribly insulting when Joe Biden and his spin doctors at the White House tell these whoppers and actually expect us to believe them. Though apparently they’re all flabbergasted as to why their Bidenomics messaging isn’t working to boost Biden’s poll numbers and knock down Trump from his superior position in 2024 matchup polling.

We expect the White House to insist, even despite a plethora of evidence to the contrary, that the economy is great. Biden's administration would hardly be the first to cherrypick data and present a distorted view of what's really happening in order to promote their own policies and economic agenda.

But it's even more insulting when the media tries it, and they've been shoveling a lot of tripe about the economy in the hope of boosting Biden.

“Biden’s got a good story to tell about the economy," CNN's John Avalon claimed earlier this month. "It is objectively true that our country is better off economically than we were certainly three years ago and it’s not just because of the pandemic.”

Really? Objectively true? Thanks to inflation, real wages have tanked and people are struggling to afford the necessities.

Business Insider even had the audacity to claim that after "3 years of pain, America has finally achieved economic nirvana."

I wish I were joking.

I was flabbergasted by a Washington Post piece published on Monday that ridiculously sought to credit the Biden administration with... wait for it... saving us from a recession.

"As 2023 winds to a close, [Fed Chair Jerome] Powell and his colleagues are far from declaring victory on inflation. They routinely caution that their actions could be thwarted by any number of threats, from war in the Middle East to China’s economic slowdown. Americans are upset about high costs for rent, groceries and other basics, which aren’t going back to pre-pandemic levels. The White House, too, is quick to emphasize that much work remains," the report reads. "Yet the economy is ending the year in a remarkably better position than almost anyone on Wall Street or in mainstream economics predicted, having bested just about all expectations time and again. Inflation has dropped to 3.1 percent, from a peak of 9.1. The unemployment rate is at a hot 3.7 percent, and the economy grew at a healthy clip in the most recent quarter."

We've heard the same garbage analyses from the White House, too. How many times have we been told inflation is down when it has actually just slowed? How many times are we supposed to gush over the unemployment rate when the labor force participation rate hasn't even returned to pre-pandemic levels yet?

And, by the way, economists still predict a recession will happen before the 2024 election.

This isn't news or political commentary; this is outright propaganda. The mainstream media is doing exactly what the White House has been doing for months. They're trying to convince people to ignore their lying eyes and dwindling bank accounts and start feeling the joy that Biden has given us.

Good luck with that.
