Bill Clinton Makes an Unexpected Comment About Kari Lake While Stumping for Harris in Arizona

I cover Arizona GOP Senate candidate Kari Lake and her race against Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.) a fair amount in my day job, but this little bit of news certainly warranted an article here. While stumping for Kamala Harris (and Ruben Gallego by extension) in the Grand Canyon State, former President Bill Clinton decided to say this about Kari Lake versus Gallego, with video courtesy of the New York Post:

This is like a beautiful microcosm of the campaign that Kamala Harris is running for President. You got a person that grew up under sometimes challenging circumstances, who made something of his life running against someone who is physically attractive but believes that politics is a performance art.

To whatever extent you consider Kari Lake an attractive woman and are willing to express that opinion, Slick Willy is not really doing himself any favors by saying something like this, given the Monica Lewinsky affair and his supposed visits to Jeffrey Epstein's (who did not kill himself) island. Plus, why on earth would you concede that the opposition to the guy you're supposed to be plugging is good-looking?

Not only that, but this weird comment came just ten days after Clinton shot Kamala's campaign in the foot by saying that proper vetting of people crossing the border would have prevented Laken Riley's tragic murder at the hands of a suspected Tren de Aragua affiliate here in the country illegally.

And besides, has he seen the Harris-Walz clown show we have been subject to ever since Biden's handlers couldn't keep up the charade any longer? Yes, Donald Trump is guilty of engaging in performance art as president and as a candidate, and I will give him that. But the thing about Trump's "performances" is that they are genuinely fun, and the reaction from leftists just makes them funnier.

After all, before Democrats renewed the whole "Trump is Hitler!" spiel again yesterday, they were wailing and gnashing their teeth about him working at McDonald's for a few hours in Bucks County, Pa., to mock Harris's claims of working at one when she was younger.

Yes, it was a publicity thing, and yes, the McDonald's restaurant was closed for it since a presidential candidate was in there, but Trump looked like he was truly having fun and enjoying the chit-chat with customers in the drive-thru.

Compare that to the Harris-Walz campaign's forced memes about being the Party of "JOY!" or that ad with Walz trying and failing to look cool by going pheasant hunting and barely knowing how to operate a shotgun (Speaking of guns, did you see how Lucas Kunce and Adam Kinzinger accidentally hit a reporter in the arm as part of Kunce's ad campaign?).

Or consider that hilariously cringeworthy "Man Enough" ad that featured a bunch of supposedly manly men plugging her, except they were all actors, including a guy who did gay porn (and no, I am not making that up).

But when you put all that on top of Kamala's campaign all but sidelining her (according to the perpetual writing machine that is Matt Margolis), I get the feeling that Clinton calling Lake good-looking just demonstrates how cheap and desperate the performance art of Democrats is.
