According to Life News, a new report from the United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) suggested that in dealing with criminal cases involving sexual activity with minors, consent on the part of the minor should be considered.
Per the report itself, please read the following in your best "creepy guy" voice: "Sexual conduct involving persons below the domestically prescribed minimum age of consent to sex may be consensual in fact, if not in law. In this context, the enforcement of criminal law should reflect the rights and capacity of persons under 18 years of age to make decisions about engaging in consensual sexual conduct and their right to be heard in matters concerning them. Pursuant to their evolving capacities and progressive autonomy, persons under 18 years of age should participate in decisions affecting them, with due regard to their age, maturity, and best interests, and with specific attention to non-discrimination guarantees."
That's a whole lot of legalese for, "You know, you're really mature for your age. Don't say anything to your parents."
Other fun stuff in this report includes the total legalization of abortion, prostitution, and drugs without any restrictions. The sanest thing in the whole report is that people should still be held criminally liable if they knowingly spread HIV/AIDS to someone without their knowledge.
Yes, really. That is the most moral thing about it.
The UN is not beating those claims people make about the organization being in league with Satan and the institution through which the Antichrist arises.
But should we be surprised it is coming to this?
If there are still people out there saying children should be allowed to make permanent and life-altering medical decisions in the form of "transitioning," then there really is no reason for them to argue that children consenting to sex is somehow different (and yes, I hated typing that).
Of course, that was likely the whole point of pushing "transgender children" all along.

At the beginning of April, my friend Rick Moran highlighted how a man in Ontario wants a government-subsidized gender reassignment surgery, but one that only goes halfway, so he can have both sets of bits because this somehow matches up with his gender identity.
At the end of January, Lincoln Brown chronicled how Canadian euthanasia activists are seeking to expand assisted suicide to kids as young as twelve. Yes, twelve. And yes, as people pointed out, this is another means by which to render the age of consent meaningless.
Of course, these were in Canada and this report was published by the United Nations. Thankfully there is still a sizable and meaningful opposition to this sort of stuff here in the United States, but the pushers are smart.
That's also why they work so hard to quash dissent, to give the illusion that we on the side of sanity and morality are in the minority.
