Obama: Broadband, Computers Part of Stimulus Package

“To help our children compete in a 21st century economy we need to send them to 21st century schools”.  As part of his massive “economic recovery” proposal,  President-elect Obama plans to expand the reach of broadband in the US and will equip more schools with computers for students. The incoming President says that it is “unacceptable” that the US ranks 15th globally in broadband penetration. “Here, in the country that invented the Internet, every child should have the chance to get online”.
