“KCEN-TV in Central Texas is reporting multiple people have been injured Wednesday in a shooting at Fort Hood,” NBC’s Dallas-Metroplex-based affiliate reports:
An official at the base said the post is on lock down.
KCEN reports at least one person has been transported to an area hospital in an unknown condition and that several others are injured.
The exact number of injured are not yet known.

And as Charles Hoskinson of the Washington Free Beacon tweeted at 3:06 Pacific, “Folks, be careful with the speculation on Fort Hood — there are a lot of possible reasons besides terrorism.”
Update (3:21 PM Pacific): “At least one person is dead after a shooting late Wednesday afternoon on Fort Hood, a post spokesman confirmed,” KWTX.com reports. “Others were injured in the shooting, but the spokesman didn’t say how many.”
