Well yeah. But to narrow it down a bit, as Hugh Hewitt writes, “Fiasco in Charlotte: Antonio Applies Chicago Rules:”
Having taken huge heat for dropping “Jerusalem is capital of Israel” language from the DNC platform, President Obama and the Chicago Gang ordered it returned. But nobody bothered to tell the massive number of anti-Israel delegates, and when Antonio Villaraigosa called for a voice vote approving the amendment to the p,afford, it clearly failed three times, at which point Villaraigosa invoked the Chicago Rules clause and simply ordained the amendment as passed.A true debacle and revealing on so many levels –the precariousness of the Jewish vote, the genuine anti-Israel sentiment on the floor, and the disregard for the rules when inconvenient.
And that’s on top of Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s “Who are you going to believe — me or your lying ears?” moment last night.
And that’s on top of Dick Durbin playing the role of Martin Short’s sweaty paranoid Nathan Thurm character when interviewed by Fox News’ Bret Baier yesterday about why the G-Man was removed from the Democrats’ platform.
And that’s on top of Obama’s “we totally meant to move into the smaller arena from the big outdoor stadium that we dare not name” moment today.
At Ricochet, Professor Paul Rahe’s assessment is blunt: “Suicide: The Democratic Party’s Self-Inflicted Wounds.”
Anderson Cooper’s reaction to @dwstweets‘ CNN performance: “That’s an alternate universe.”
