Last month, a Michigan-based blogger dubbed Detroit “The Most Failed Urban Environment in the Nation.” So much so that even England’s Guardian has noticed — and collected a series of incredible photos of “Detroit in ruins.”

Ironically, it’s a monument to what a half-century of policies that the editors of the Guardian would strongly approve of that created those ruins, but hey, sometimes you need some inspiration when you’re Visualizing Industrial Collapse.
