Love in a Vacuum

Who knew that “indefinitely” meant “‘Til Tuesday?”

Well that was fast.

After suspending Keith Olbermann for donating to Democrat candidates late last week, MSNBC announced Sunday evening the Countdown host will return to the air on Tuesday.

From Phil Griffin, president of MSNBC:

After several days of deliberation and discussion, I have determined that suspending Keith through and including Monday night’s program is an appropriate punishment for his violation of our policy. We look forward to having him back on the air Tuesday night.

But of course. Limousine Leftist Keith needs MSNBC to pocket his $7 million a year. MSNBC needs Keith to keep them at the top of the bottom of the news rating heap. Rather than risk further mutual assured self-immolation, where else was either party going to go?

Update: At the American Spectator, John R. Guardiano adds, “I’m glad that Griffin has done the right thing and reinstated Olbermann. However, Griffin and his NBC management colleagues still have a lot of explaining to do.”
