The Brand That Dies A Thousand Deaths

Speaking of life in the VW economy, the folks at the New Ledger spot GM’s corporate logo about to be retiredgm-logo-3

The classic, simple, underlined “GM” on a field of blue is going the way of the Vega. “The idea is to de-emphasize the brand of General Motors — which emerged from bankruptcy earlier this year — and begin emphasizing its individual remaining brands: GMC, Chevrolet, Cadillac and Buick.” Not sure this will help, guys.

No word yet if Obama’s logo will replace it.
