Funny, She Doesn't Look Neoconservative

House Judiciary Chairman John Conyers (D-Mich.), who’s apparently never met a bill he’s actually read, (or a Republican president he didn’t want to impeach) has a great chuckle at a private citizen’s expense:

At a recent National Press Club luncheon, House Judiciary Chairman John Conyers (D-Mich.) sarcastically said he is “a supporter of Sarah Palin” and “one of her great advocates.” Palin, the GOP vice presidential candidate in 2008, recently resigned as governor of Alaska.

“As a supporter of Sarah Palin for taking over the Republican Party, I’m one of her great advocates,” said Conyers. “I mean, what an attractive, young, neoconservative reactionary! Wow! There’s never been one like her.”

Oh, to be a fly on the wall, if anyone ever asks the congressman for his definition of what neoconservative actually means.

Update: Perhaps the former governor is descended from the “neocons of the ’30s [who] bitterly reviled FDR…”
