Tucker Carlson's New Show is Worth Watching

Carlson’s new show on Fox, “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” is excellent. I got a chance to see it last night and it was a terrific combination of interviews and discussion from a more right-leaning perspective that is refreshing and rings so true for many of us who don’t like the liberal media. Apparently, I am not the only one who thinks the show is a hit:

The premiere of Tucker Carlson’s new show scored a ratings high for Fox News Monday night.

According to Nielsen Media Research, 3.7 million viewers tuned in for the debut of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” — making it the network’s biggest audience of the year during that time slot. An estimated 750,000 of those viewers were in the crucial age demographic of 25-54.

“Tucker Carlson Tonight” beat the competition at CNN and MSNBC combined.

Fox News announced that Carlson had been named the new host last week. He previously was the co-host of “Fox & Friends Weekend.”

In the show I saw last night, Carlson was grilling some student who was protesting the new President on immigration and stated that all people should be welcome in the US, we could take them all in. Tucker was having none of it and bantered with the guy til at the end the guy sputtered something about being for dignity for all people and Tucker said he felt the same. It was pretty amusing and really, quite charming.

In another segment, Carlson said he wanted to bring viewers the stories we don’t hear in the media, such as the effect that low interest rates have on savers. Amen.

I look forward to watching more of his show and watching how he covers the new Presidential administration and its adversaries.
