Maoist revolutionaries across the country are demanding violent revolts on Election Day to protest what they call a “bourgeois farce,” according to their recent posts on social media. As Far Left Watch reports, the Red Guards of Austin escalated its war against “imperialism” last week by placing severed pig heads at “polling places and campaign offices” in and around the Austin, Texas, area.
The group is calling for revolutionary violence rather than participation in the “bourgeois elections.” Red Guards LA shared the grotesque photos on Twitter:

The Red Guards of Austin carried out the extreme act after it commemorated Chairman Mao’s cultural revolution in China — when an estimated 36 million people were killed by murder and starvation. Writing in the passive voice, the Red Guards of Austin stated in an October 10 post that “a speech was given” on October 1 “to promote the election boycott and commemorate the 69th anniversary of the Chinese Revolution led by Chairman Mao.”

Communists and revolutionaries assembled to release 69 floating lanterns adorned with revolutionary slogans and images of Chairman Mao. Many among the masses showed interest in the event and the speech resonated with them, as the working class more and more comes to understand that bourgeois elections are a farce they become more and more accepting of the necessity of armed revolution and Protracted People’s War. (emphasis added)
It should be noted that the violent Left has recently shown that the word “boycott” doesn’t mean the same thing to them that it means to most people. Rather than staying home and perhaps reading a book, it means engaging in violent protest:
In the blog post, the Red Guards of Austin called on the “masses” to unite under Maoism and establish “a mighty Red Army” to allow “self-administration of the community under the protection of this army, forming a new state posed to make war on the old”:
This great change does not happen overnight or all at once. It occurs through the course of organized class combat, class against class. The necessity of revolution must be grasped and this matter can no longer be delayed by the clownery imperialist elections. Develop the combined strength of the proletariat, its allied classes, the Party and its Red Army.
The menacing post ended on a revolutionary note:
Boycott the Bourgeois Elections! Elections, no! Revolution, yes! … The ruling class will rule no more! Revolution, Peoples War!
The Red Guards of Austin last month shared on Facebook an image of Senator Ted Cruz and his Democrat rival Beto O’Rourke as a “Homophobic Imperialist Pig” and “Zionist Imperialist Pig,” respectively:
The Red Guards of Kansas City on Facebook shared a post from a fellow communist revolutionary promoting attacks on “imperialist politicians”:
Red Guards Pittsburgh shared the same post on their Facebook page. In solidarity with their Kansas City comrades, Red Guards Charlotte also shared the “Elections no! Revolution, yes!” message:
In recent months, far-left activists have become more brazenly militant and violent in their rhetoric on websites and social media, as PJ Media has documented here, here, here, here, here, and here.
