San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is not a popular guy in Miami. He was greeted with a deafening fusillade of jeers and boos when he took the field at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, Sunday.

Kaepernick is used to being booed due to his decision to sit in protest of police brutality during the national anthem before NFL games, but it was his support for the now-deceased Cuban dictator Fidel Castro that outraged the Miami Dolphin fans. Miami, of course, is home to a large community of Cuban exiles — many of whom have first-hand knowledge of Castro’s draconian rule.
