In the Wake of Paris Attacks, All Three Democrat Candidates Agree America Should Still Take in Refugees

All three Democratic candidates on CBS’s presidential debate stage Saturday night agreed that America should take in more Syrian refugees.

This, despite reports that at least two of the terrorists involved in the carnage in Paris on Friday may have come into Europe with the refugees.

ISIS threatened to flood Europe with half a million migrants in a “psychological” attack against the West last February.

In September, an operative working for the Islamic State claimed in an interview with BuzzFeed that the terror group had successfully smuggled thousands of jihadists into Europe.

The ISIS smuggler, who is in his thirties and is described as having a trimmed jet-black beard, revealed the ongoing clandestine operation is a complete success.

“Just wait,” he smiled.

Clinton and O’Malley agreed on taking in 65,000 of them.  Sanders  wasn’t sure about the number, but he declared that it was “a moral responsibility” to help the refugees.

Hillary Clinton stated that she wanted to see more Syrian refugees brought in than the Obama administration originally suggested.

“I also said that we should take increased numbers of refugees. The administration originally said 10. I said we should go to 65, but only if we have as careful a screening and vetting process as we can imagine, whatever resources it takes. I do not want us to in any way inadvertently allow people who wish us harm to come into our country.”

Senator Bernie Sanders said;

In terms of refugees, I believe the United States has the moral responsibility with Europe, with Gulf countries like Saudi Arabia, to make sure that when people leave countries like Afghanistan and Syria with nothing more than the clothing on their back, that of course, we reach out. Now, what the magic number is I don’t know, because we don’t know the extent of the problem. But I certainly think that the United States should take its full responsibility in helping those people.

Martin O’Malley proudly pointed out that he was the first person on the debate stage to say that he would roll out the red welcome mat for the Muslim hordes.

“I was the first person on this stage to say that we should accept the 65,000 Syrian refugees that were fleeing the sort of murder of ISIS, and I believe that that needs to be done with proper screening. But accommodating 65,000 refugees in our country today, people of 320 million, is akin to making room for 6.5 more people in a baseball stadium with 32,000. There are other ways to lead and to be a moral leader in this world, rather than at the opposite end of a drone strike.

Last month FBI Director James Comey told Congress that the federal government cannot conduct thorough checks on all of the refugees coming from Syria.

Appearing before the House Committee on Homeland Security, Comey said Syrians who aren’t already in the FBI’s database are unknown to the agency, meaning their backgrounds cannot be adequately scoured for a risk of terrorism.

Clinton also indicated that she would continue Obama’s practice of not calling Islamic terrorists Islamic.

The former secretary of State argued it’s “not particularly helpful” to say the U.S. is at war with radical Islam because the U.S. needs to reach out to Muslim countries.
