Listen to this haunting performance by actor Michael C. Hall channeling David Bowie, as he sings “Lazarus.” The former Dexter and Six Feet Under star paid tribute to Bowie at the 2016 Mercury Prize Gala.

Bowie died of liver cancer in January at the age of 69, just after the release of his final album, Blackstar. The song and video “Lazarus” were meant as a self-epitaph and commentary on Bowie’s own death.
