Platner Mocked Suicidal Girl and Purple Heart Recipient, but Lefties Don’t Value Individual Life

Maine Democrat Senate candidate Graham Platner is one of the most vile men on the ballot this year, and that’s a tough competition. With his Nazi tattoo, his sex mania, his violent and perverted fantasizing, and his rabid antisemitism, Platner is a character straight out of a political nightmare. But his comments making fun of a suicidal girl and a Purple Heart recipient actually fit in all too well with the centuries-old continuum of Democrat disregard for individual life.

Under the nickname “P-Hustle,” Platner left a trail of seriously disturbing comments on Reddit. They involve everything from praise for terrorists to vile descriptions of sexual perversion to making fun of tragedy. For instance, reacting to Pfc. Ted Daniels' helmet footage of himself drawing Taliban fire in open terrain to help his squad, being repeatedly wounded in the meantime, Platner sneered, “This video never gets old. Dumb motherf****r didn’t deserve to live. At least his stupidity and fat ass wheezing are available for all future infantrymen to witness and hold in contempt.” Daniels, who received a Purple Heart, slammed not only Platner but all the Democrats backing the candidate. Platner did not see Daniels as a hero or a man with family, but merely as the subject for a vicious jest.

Likewise, in May 2012, “P-Hustle” talked as if a young woman’s life were not worth saving. On a picture of a man holding onto the arms of a teen girl hanging out of a window, a user wrote, “A girl at my old highschool [sic] tried jumping from a window because her cousin died the day before. These students saved her. I have hope.” Platner jeered, according to the New York Post, “Someone clearly isn’t trying hard enough.” But why should Democrats be bothered when they all believe in the subjective rather than the objective value of life?

In the early to mid-19th century, slavery was the primary policy for the Democrat Party around which all others revolved, though other seriously damaging activities included property theft, judicial activism, and political violence. Most slave owners were Democrats, and none were Republicans. U.S. Grant did own slaves when he was still a Democrat, but once he was a Republican president, he became arguably the greatest civil rights president in our history.

Obviously, slavery is all about demeaning and devaluing individual life, making the argument that certain human beings are naturally inferior and must therefore be owned. Unsurprisingly, in many cases, enslavement brought other abuses with it, such as extreme physical abuse, serial rape, and “breeding” more slaves (read more here).

After the Civil War, when Democrats had lost their slaves, they turned to judicial activism, Jim Crow legislation, and mass domestic terrorism to continue to accomplish their goals. Once again, we see that the defining feature is a lack of respect for individual human lives. That has continued up through the 20th century and into our own day, with leftist riots, constant race-baiting, abortion worship, castration and grooming of gender dysphoric children, and empathy with terrorism.

Indeed, there is a reason Democrats have always talked in terms of classes or tribes or races, as the whole point is to make people think in terms of groups and not individuals. That is why the Democrat Party has always been fundamentally anti-American — and why Graham Platner still has so much Democrat support.
