Hillary Goes from Attacking Obama to Wanting to 'Hug It Out' with Him

In the interview, Clinton dismissed the Obama administration’s self-described foreign policy principle of “Don’t do stupid stuff.”And while she also praised Obama several times, Clinton nonetheless called his decision not to assist Syrian rebels early on a “failure.”

The statement from Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill stressed that although the two have had “honest differences on some issues” including “the wicked challenge” of Syria, she has discussed these differences publicly before, including in her new memoir, “Hard Choices.”

“Some are now choosing to hype those differences but they do not eclipse their broad agreement on most issues,” Merrill said. “Like any two friends who have to deal with the public eye, she looks forward to hugging it out when she they see each other tomorrow night.”

Here are our options.

1. Hillary meant what she said when she criticized Obama’s “Don’t do stupid stuff” principle.

2. Hillary did not mean what she said.

If 1 is true, then her walking it back today is the result of:

A) cowardice

b) loyalty to something other than the truth

c) having to walk back something that she had no idea would blow up the way it has

If option a is the case, Hillary Clinton is unfit for the presidency.

If option b is the case, Hillary Clinton is unfit for the presidency.

If option c is the case, Hillary Clinton is, at the very least, still not ready for the presidency.

If option 2 above is the case, Hillary Clinton is unfit for the presidency.

None of that means that she won’t actually win the presidency. Barack Obama was and is unfit for the presidency. Yet he has the presidency.
