What's This? Rep. James Sensenbrenner (R-WI) Caught Lying On Tape?

James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas strikes again. O’Keefe’s hidden cameras have captured Rep. James Sensenbrenner (R-WI) on tape misleading voters about his own bill, HR 3899, which Sensenbrenner has teamed up with the ACLU and other far-left groups to write. That bill would restore sections of the Voting Rights Act that the US Supreme Court struck down last year. At recent town hall meetings in Wisconsin, Sensenbrenner tells voters that his bill doesn’t do what the text of the bill actually says it does. Sensenbrenner also misleads voters on minority voting problems in Texas and Georgia. Take a look.

Sensenbrenner makes a startling claim in the video: That he hopes his bill passes, and that President Obama then vetoes it. How does that make any sense? Well, Sensenbrenner believes that an Obama veto would cost the president much of his support among black voters. Sensenbrenner provides no evidence to back up that claim, as he provides no evidence when he claims that Texas and Georgia Republicans have been caught trying to suppress minority votes in their respective states. In fact, DOJ itself offers no evidence to back up Sensenbrenner’s claims.

Exit question: Media have tended to downplay O’Keefe videos when Democrats are the ones caught on tape lying. What will they do with this video, starring a Wisconsin Republican?
