FBI Hunts Cop Killer Domestic Terrorist. No, Not the One Who's a University Professor. Or the One Who's a Friend of the President.

This one is hiding out in Cuba, where she is being treated like a celebrity. Which is pretty much how Columbia University treats domestic terrorists.

The decades-old international case of a convicted cop killer is getting new attention in New Jersey.

It was 40 years ago today that New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster was shot and killed along the New Jersey Turnpike.

Joanne Chesimard was convicted and sentenced to life in prison.

But in 1979, members of the Black Liberation Army broke her out of prison and hid her underground before she was able to flee to Cuba.

There, she has been treated like a celebrity and has lived under the name Assata Shakur.

On Thursday, the FBI added her to their list of Most Wanted Terrorists. Chesimard is the first woman ever to make the FBI’s list of top terrorists.

Her mistake: Choosing to hide in Cuba instead of Chicago’s Hyde Park. If she had only hid out there, she could have served on a foundation with the future president, and landed herself a professor’s gig, and eventually have herself portrayed on the big screen in a Robert Redford flick.
