Frank Rich is still trying to blame the right

The race for the New York Times’ most disgusting columnist is a real toss-up between Paul Krugman and Frank Rich.  In a Walter Duranty-esque way, both stubbornly refuse to see the facts of Tucson, and this morning Rich pretty much says the facts don’t matter:

Did Loughner see Palin’s own most notorious contribution to the rancorous tone — her March 2010 Web graphic targeting Congressional districts? We have no idea — nor does it matter.

Actually, it does matter, since the shooter’s twisted grudge predates that map by a couple years.
