After the United States Women’s National Soccer Team’s (USWNT) won the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup for the fourth time, co-captain Megan Rapinoe and midfielder Allie Long can be seen disrespecting the flag.
Long dropped the American flag on the ground to do a choreographed celebration with Rapinoe and co-captain Alex Morgan. While posing for the cameras, Long and Rapinoe dragged the American flag with their feet after it was on the ground.
Is this for real? Did she drag and drop the #USFlag? pic.twitter.com/GgWKGQbqyL

Midfielder Kelley O’Hara quickly picked up the flag after it was beginning to be dragged along Long and Rapinoe’s feet.
President Trump previously stated that he would invite the USWNT to the White House, but on Sunday he told reporters that he hadn’t “really thought about it” and would look into it.
Nevertheless, President Trump praised the USWNT’s victory yesterday: “Congratulations to the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team on winning the World Cup! Great and exciting play. America is proud of you all!”
The USWNT is still expected to visit Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) for a tour of the House of Representatives and the team may also visit Senator Kamala Harris from California for a tour of the Senate.
