WEF Acolyte Condemns Twitter/X as ‘Scary,’ ‘Toxic’

Ever since Elon Musk pried Twitter/X away from the grip of the Deep State and unleashed formerly silenced voices like Alex Jones on the platform, the social engineers have waged a full-on propaganda and legal war on it.

We got more of the same, unsurprisingly, at 2024 Davos.

Global elites in the field of education criticized billionaire Elon Musk and his social media platform X — formerly Twitter — at the World Economic Forum’s conference in Davos on Monday.

Harvard Professor of the History of Science Naomi Oreskes and President of swissuniversities Luciana Vaccaro shared their mutual distaste for Musk’s X during a panel at the conference, saying it is “toxic” in a clip circulating on the social media platform. Musk purchased the platform in October 2022, and has battled with advertisers, governments, censors and Democrats over the course of his ownership.

“For a long time I was on Twitter and now it’s become such a toxic place that I’ve concluded it’s not a worthwhile place to spend time,” Oreskes stated. “I have given up on X. What a scary name that even is, right?”

“It’s [a] very toxic environment and … I have no solution on that,” Vaccaro responded. “I think there will be a societal reflection on how information is brought there. Of course on X now there is also the policy of the owner that is problematic but I think this is a problem of the society of the future.”

Let’s not let slip by the irony of this lady calling “X” a scary name when she’s speaking at an event sponsored by the World Economic Forum, headed by a guy who wears dystopian futurist space-dictator outfits for unclear reasons if not simply to terrify the peasants, whose daddy literally ran a “National Socialist Model Company.”

At any rate, let’s take for granted for a moment that X is “toxic” and “scary.” That’s called free speech, Naomi. Avert your delicate eyeballs and retreat to your ivory tower if you don’t like it.

This woman, incidentally, made TIME’s prestigious list of the “most influential climate leaders in business for 2023.”

Via TIME (emphasis added):

It will be crucial to build on the framework established in the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act to accelerate the transition to renewable energy. This will include opposing infrastructure that will lock in fossil-fuel energy for decades to come and carbon capture and storage projects that are adjuncts to fossil-fuel production. It will also be crucial not to allow new forms of denial to take hold. We are already seeing examples, such as the false claim that off-shore wind kills whales and that restrictions on gas stoves are the latest excuse by liberals to control our lives and deny our freedom. Scientists will have to work with climate activists to block the spread of such misleading narratives.

(For the record, I have previously documented at PJ Media the solid evidence that, in fact, offshore wind turbines are killing whales. But I don’t imagine this lady is terribly interested in a nuanced exploration of this issue because it conflicts with her “zero carbon” religion.)
