It Was Hannity Firing Cumulus, Not the Other Way Around

Rumors have been swirling for weeks about America’s favorite conservative talk-radio hosts, and whether they’d be continuing with their current gigs. It’s the sort of thing that often happens when contracts are nearly up, but this time there have been rumors, for example, that my friend Sean Hannity was being pushed out by Cumulus Media, which distributes his hugely popular radio show in several major markets. Not so: It was reportedly Sean who showed Cumulus the door. Sean’s syndicator, Clear Channel, assures not only that the program will continue in over 500 markets but that almost all the Cumulus slots will be replaced.
