Voter ID and 5 random questions from the US Citizenship test. You don't get 3 out of 5, your vote does not count. Absentee ballots only for those away from their homes on election day and the chronically infirm. Drag your keister to the polls. Hey, you get a sticker!

Bring back the paper ballot. Electronic balloting is more prone to fraud.

Yup. If you want to vote with no ID, show us your hands, and then dip your index finger in purple ink.

Low-tech, baby. Yes, voting is messy and expensive; that's a feature, not a bug. Dictatorships are simple and cheap.

Simple voter ID. Yesterday they swiped my license, it registered that I was voting and printed out a label for the records, that I signed.

Simple. Elegant.

Also, here the polling workers aren't allowed to tell you what to vote for or even what it's about. An older couple came in, looked confused "what are we voting for?". It was interesting to watch.

Exactly. One addition: the naturalization test needs to be given in English.
The reason being that political discussions are held in English, as is whatever passes for news these days. If one cannot comprehend the language, one cannot make informed choices.

Completely agreed. If you do not speak English you are a slave to whatever ethnic media narrative that's pushing your group agenda.

For the record, I'm a bilingual and half Puerto Rican.

For the record, I am a naturalized citizen whose native language is not English. :)

End optical scanning & bring back the old-fashioned, lockable voting machines. Not much of an improvement, but every little bit helps...

Photo signatures. If the fact of having voted is public information, why not tie a photo to it, snapped at the moment of voting. Make that public, too, and then fraud detection can be more easily crowdsourced. People know what their neighbors look like.

Voter ID requirement.

Life sentence for anyone convicted of tampering with an election.

Life sentence for any government official refusing to prosecute someone suspected of tampering with an election.

Voter ID laws - make we know WHO is casting the ballot. Also, tighter security on absentee ballots, which were originally only for active duty military folks out of state. Now, anyone can get one for almost any reason...a recipe for fraud
