Adam Ant started his career as frontman for Adam And The Ants, one of Britain’s premier punk bands. But punk’s heyday didn’t last very long. No bother. He reinvented himself as a solo act and embraced New Wave with a completely over-the-top New Romantic twist.

And he was never more over-the-top than right here.

It’s easy to forget sometimes what delightfully stupid campy fun the early ’80s were — so here’s a reminder you won’t soon forget.

Loved Adam and the Ants, and Adam Ant, but nothing can explain the bizarre decision to add him to the performenrs on "Motown 25: Yesterday, Today, Forever." I was hurting for the guy on that one...

In addition to being a performenr, he was also a performer.

I always liked Adam Ant. He's one who 'Got It' that the Pop-Music-Biz was supposed to be FUN.

I also seem to remember something about him being the on stage template for Mickey the Molester (AKA Micheal Jackson).
