Exciting news in the War Against Obesity:

According to a new report from the United Nations Food and Agricultural Organization, the United States is no longer the world’s fattest developed nation–Mexico is.

Nearly a third of Mexican adults (32.8 percent) are considered obese—people aged 20 and older whose body mass index (BMI) is 30 and above. That edges the United States, where 31.8 percent of American adults are considered obese.

It’s not fair. Mexico simply exported all its skinny people illegally across our border.

Soon, Mexico will be a richer country too, having exported all its poor here, while they send money home.

Mexico is not getting richer, we are getting poorer.

Pretty soon they will erect a fence to stop the gringos from heading south.

Sent the skinny ones here? You haven't seen the clientele in my local tienda.

They were obese when they started out crossing that border. After cooping up in those airless sauna-trucks, and power-walked those endless desert miles, they emerged fit and skinny. Then they kept fit toiling at those jobs no obese Americans deigned to do, and sent their earnings to fatten up their family lazing around in the Club Med-like villages.
