Nice Hat

One World Trade Center received its spire this morning, almost exactly seven years after construction began.

That’s almost twice as long as it took to build both the North and South towers of the old WTC.

To be completely fair, Steve, this interval is actually quite comparable to the original WTC. The "spire" on 1 WTC, really a TV transmitter, was installed in 1978. The groundbreak-to-topout interval has been reduced from 12 years to 7 with the current iteration. So you could say the process has improved over the last nearly half-century.
