What was once daring is now quaint — adult movie posters of yesteryear.
The Daily Mail has quite the impressive collection.
When I clicked on this story, directly under the old school smut poster, with it’s lovely army of curvaceous babes, there was a fashion add showing a stick thin model, flat as a 12 year old boy, with her collar bones jutting out at dangerously sharp angles.
I checked out the posters because I was an average teenaged boy back in the 70s and I wanted to see if I had seen any of these movies.
Bottoms Up was a spy spoof from the mid 70s that featured the gorgeous Alana Penz. She had never been to a plastic surgeon.
The film itself had almost no budget and the actors know that they weren’t too good. Yet the film is very funny and the plot and jokes are as good as any well-made B film from the period.
Back in the 70s I went to the local dirty movie house (which never checked ID) and watched many films like this. They were often terrible, but if you were lucky you could seen an entertaining film where every now and then the actors would throw off their clothes and pretend to have sex.
If modern porn films had natural women, plot and a few laughs, I’d probably watch them. These days though porn is nothing more than plastic women and all action with no plot. I miss the 70s (except for disco).
That was the first name of the Milton Bradley board game “Twister”.
