If you haven’t read it yet, take a look at “100 Voices” by Robert Mayhew. It’s a collection of interviews with people who knew AR, and it covers a time span of more than 60 years. It’s people’s reactions to her as a person. It will surprise many of you who may have thought she was difficult to get along with.
That was great. I hadn’t seen it before.
Can you imagine any modern talk show host treating her with that much genuine inquisitiveness and respect? Just letting her speak with no interruptions or attempts at ‘gotcha’ questions was refreshing.
