Take a look at this header and sub-head from a Jacob Weisberg piece.
Obama Outfoxes Romney
The president’s agility on gay marriage and immigration is making his rival look stodgy and unprincipled.
What’s the problem, you say?
The President’s agility — his evolution, his changing his damn mind on something after getting pressured on it — makes Romney look “unprincipled.”
You keep using that word, Jacob. I do not think it means what you think it means.

“Those are my principles, and if you don’t like them… well, I have others.”
– Some guy named Marx
“Agility”? Is that when you flip-flop so fast, you make even Romney look stodgy? Oh, and stodgy means unprincipled.
I gotta disagree with you, though, Steve. The word means what he thinks it means. It does not mean what he implies it means. IOW, he lies.
Stodgy does not mean unprincipled. It means “dull and uninspired,” or heavy, bulky.
The panicked mainstream media looks down the cliff side and say “My God he is still climbing.”
The arrogant media will attempt to fight Romney at the top of the cliff. Andrea Mitchell being an example are attempting to fight left handed. Now that hasn’t worked they will try with the right. The Super PACs and new media will destroy the sword fighter.
Next is the brute. The Unions. But they have been so used to fighting groups that fighting an individual they lose like with Walker. A principled and disciplined candidate like Walker showed Romney how to put the sleeper hold on the giant.
The debates will be like drinking poison. Here is where Mitt Romney can shine. Obama many have practiced with Kerry with his dizzying intellect, but it does not seem to be working when the questions are not predetermined or a teleprompter is not nearby. Romney has built up an immunity to the poison of explaining politics. The hard debates in the Primary, hecklers and interviews from the media.
Now all that will be left is the three deadly terrors, the Machine, the miracle, and storming the castle.
No big deal. As Wesley told Buttercup, “Life is pain, Highness. Anyone who says differently is selling you something.”
I believe Romney understands that.
“The Dread Pirate Breitbart takes no survivors! All your worst nightmares are about to come true! The Dread Pirate Breitbart is here for your souls!” ~ quoted almost directly from Mitt Romney’s future VP pick.
Wow. I was about to say that no day is complete without a quote from Princess Bride. But you’ve actually managed to pull of what amounts to an extended metaphor by quoting the entire freaking movie.
Well done, sir! Well done indeed!
“Dread Pirate Breitbart”
Holy crap. Someone needs to turn that into a poster and t-shirt.
Epic.
Oh yes, we are lucky to have a President who ‘supports’ gay marriage, and I sure hope gays don’t vote for the guy who presided over Massachusetts when they legalized same-sex marriage (and pushed the issue of amending the state constitution over delaying tactics by the Democrat-controlled state legislature) and directed the courts to start issuing same-sex marriage licenses before they were required to by the terms of the law. Why would gay men and women want someone like him in their corner?
