Congratulations to Mary Cheney and Heather Poe on the day of their marriage.
In unrelated news, I’m sure Mary and Heather did not take advantage of this fabulous offer from President Obama.
Who in their right mind would want to take their wedding day, their special moment, and make it about Barack Obama? (Besides Obama, that is). A wedding should not be made partisan, it’s a time for the politics to be left out – do you really want to offend or alienate those of your guests and friends that do not support Obama’s policies? Yet another amateur move.
Heh, I’m guessing this one will be about as successful as the 1,001 other gimmicks that failed.
To the hashtags!
The happy couple should send Obama a carpet.
While everyone who runs for the office tends to be narcissistic to begin with, the job tends to beat that crap out of them. The first couple of years have a way of saying “Hey pal, you really aren’t as important as you think you are, so you better get over yourself fast.” That’s what happens if the guy in the job is paying attention anyway. I get the feeling Obama hasn’t stopped looking at himself in the mirror long enough to notice that the rest of the world doesn’t see him as quite as wonderful as he sees himself.
no wonder barack evolved on gay marriage…more marriages = more campaign donations ! genius !!
