Friday Night Videos

Last week I’d found a concert version, but something funky happened with YouTube while I was out in the woods. So let’s try this again with the original album version.
If you lost your virginity outdoors, anywhere from Indiana to Kansas, Minnesota to Missouri, then this is one song that will stick with you for just about ever.

Absolutely love this song. Didn’t lose my virginity anywhere in the Mid-west, but I completely get the nostalgia you are referring to.
I did publishing royalties for Capitol Records in the mid nineties. Bob Seger’s Greatest hits is one of the most succesful albums of all time.
By the way–don’t try to buy any “Bob Seger” music off of iTunes. It’s all tribute work (i.e., covers), nothing original. And it’s not labelled very clearly as such. I made the mistake of buying a best-of without really checking. Couldn’t get a refund on it.
SO y’all know, I fit the profile (IN, way long ago), and when I read this set up last week, I was thinking of this song instead. Guess we got our own way of soundtracking things as we remember them. (FWIW, after watching American Pop, “Night Moves” seems kinda… urban.)
GREAT tune! Im 50 now, been playing drums since I was 6, this is just one of those tunes you wished went on forever….saw him a few times over the years, beginning in 77….GREAT show even today!
