Stylistically speaking, Barack Obama could hardly be further from Jimmy Carter if he really had been born in Kenya. Carter was a born-again Baptist who was raised on his father’s peanut plantation and supported George Wallace on the road to the Georgia state house. Barack Obama—well, you know the story. But the two men have a great deal in common in their approach to the presidency, and not one of these similarities is good news for the Democrats or even for America. Both men rule without regard to the concerns of the base of their party. Both held themselves to be above politics when it came to making tough decisions. Both were possessed with superhuman self-confidence when it came to their own political judgment mixed with contempt for what they understood to be the petty concerns of pundits and party leaders. And worst of all, one fears, neither one appeared willing to change course no matter how many storm clouds loomed on the horizon.
Ouch! So who is? Krauthammer? Will? Hanson?

is utterly laughable. The idea that Dear Liar is doing anything about the deficit, let alone our monstrous debt, is absurd.
When Carter was president, I had much disagreement with him. But I never once thought that he was doing anything but acting in what he thought was the best interests of our country. With The Whine, I do have my doubts.
And its far from the only laughable part. When has Obama made a “tough decision” ?

Country’s falling down around them & this is what they’re worried about?
You evidently don’t lurk lefty media much. The possibility of default, the decline of the dollar, and the price of gas are all good news for people who want to see America taken down a peg.
Country falling down is evident in other tragedies: Bradley Manning is being tortured! Obama abandoned Wisconsin to the Teahadists! Global warming gave me lung cancer and all I got was this crummy free organ transplant!

And Tomas de Torquemada did not quite live up to the standards of his as well.
Alterman, Soros and the rest of the frothing, raging far left…smelled blood in the water and wanted Obama to go in for the kill, while this country was there for the taking.
He moved too slowly and meekly, when he had the destruction of capitalism in his grasp.
It was not enough that he completely trashed the dollar, gave back the bust of Winston to the U.K., ANNOUNCED the date of troop withdrawal to our enemies, tore down our NASA apparatus, put Brazil’s oil production ahead of our own, effectively shut down the budget process for 18 months, slurred Middle America repeatedly, gave us the finger on raising gas prices, promoted the hoax about global warming, had the DOJ shut down any and every instance of voter intimidation investigation if the victim was white, sued one of our own states for protecting our borders, slapped Israel in the face repeatedly, sat on his hands in Iran, Syria and against their henchmen, Hamas and Hezbollah, ….he didn’t perform the coup d’ grace when he had us pinned down and helpless.
And, then…he took a shellacking and they believe the moment may have missed.
He…does not.
He has capitalism in a death spiral, he has abdicated our national good to that of the Arab League, the U.N. and everyone else who hates the Jews….and America. He is promoting high speed rail and wind/solar because they involve the state ownership of land, the last frontier for Marxist nirvana. He already owns the powerful propaganda machine.
He wants to continue to boil the frog, so he can win the next election and he can perform his estocada….the final thrust of the sword into the neck of the bull.
THIS, is the act which they are thirsty for…and they do not like delayed gratification.
Being right is not easy, but it was like shooting fish in a barrel with this guy. I can’t count the number of people I told *before* he was elected that this guy would be exactly like Carter. And I bet I can’t count the number of people that did exactly the same thing.
