Veep Speculation

Is it Palin?
She could peel off the PUMAs, and give people a reason to feel good about drilling in ANWR. Just please don’t try to combine those two acronyms.

PANUWAMR.
To quote the radar tech on Top Gun: “Way to go, Maverick!!”
I love a choice that pisses off all the right people for all the right reasons. Who wouldve thought we would live in a day when an eskimo would be just a heartbeat away from the person who is a heartbeat away from The White House.
I totally love this choice.
Ive seen this woman in action, she is not to be trifled with. She is one tough lady. Biden is going to step in and offer one of his tooth filled gaffes and she is going to rip him in half for the entertainment of it alone. So settle back, but the footrest up on the recliner and lets all watch as the blood splatters on the screen. I’ll make the popcorn.
Mark my words. She’s going to get hammered by the Left for having her latest child. They’re going to try to portray her as a risk-taker, because she chose to have a child at such a “late” age, with the “predictable” results of Trig being a Downs Syndrome child. It’s sick, but I’m willing to bet someone plays that card.
I admire her for being willing to have Trig in the face of what will be an amazingly difficult life for him. And the whole family, for that matter.
I’ll lay odds that Olbermann takes the first shot.
Nah, once the child is born and can look cute in pictures, only the insane would suggest it would have been better to abort. It’ll never happen, except maybe Olbermann and he will be fired that night.
I would have preferred someone with more executive experience (yes, I know, she has more than all the others), but in every other respect, this is a home run.
This is the equivalent of McCain delivering the “I Drink Your Milkshake” speech to the Obama camp.
Music to my ears!
Trig Palin was born last April 18.
This is funny.

Somehow Obama, a freshman Senator IS qualified to be president, but Palin, a freshman Governor isn’t qualified to be VP? Does this moron even read what he writes?
It’ll never happen, except maybe Olbermann and he will be fired that night.
From your mouth to God’s ears.
One thing I haven’t seen mentioned much is the timing. John McCain just took all the wind out of the democratic convention. This weekend we should have been talking about OB and JB, but no, it is wall to wall Sarah Palin. I guess the democrats need to start to row.
One rumor being propagated by Kos is that Trig isn’t Sarah’s child. He apparently is her oldest daughter’s son. Sarah didn’t announce until she was 7 months pregnant, and didn’t look it. In the meantime, her 17 yo daughter apparently missed quite a bit of school due to mono.
Wild. Where do they get this stuff?
Palin was the best choice McCain could have made.
a) The experience issue works in her favor.
b) She will help bring in some of Hillary’s fence sitting supporters.
c) The democrats will further alienate women with misogynistic attacks on her by the obamabots and other assorted moon-bats.
What’s not to like?
The democrats will try to dig up any and all dirt on her, obviously. I suspect that there will be much play in the media very soon about the investigation regarding whether there was any impropriety on her part with respect to the removal of Safety Commissioner, Walter Monegan
Halcro was a political opponent, running for governor against Palin in 2006 as an independent, though he’s always been a republican. I guess he never got over loosing.
I suspect that none of this will make a difference because I suspect, as Varifrank pointed out, she will hold her own quite well against Biden or anyone else.
This link is for a less hyperbolic view of Palin’s Troopere-gate than the link above.
My intent was to show how fevered the rhetoric and accusations can get. Halcro’s blog, which I linked to above fills the bill. He’s also been interviewed on radio locally, today and ofcourse has nothing really good to say about Palin.
This has already made the news earlier today. I’m sure that more will follow, on this issue and anything else that the democrats can use to try and smear her.
