   I was thinking the same thing about the Braves. Bobby Cox is a good manager, a great one, but he’s been there too long. My original proposal was trading Cox for Torre and an owner to be named later. The Yankees never took me up on the offer.

   I’m looking for Joe Torre to take a position in the Giuliani administration. Dealing with the Steinbrenner family is good preparation for dealing with the Dems.
