Believe it or not that was made by Microsoft itself.
Yes, I’ve heard from a couple of sources, as well, that MS made that video. It is supposed to be an internal marketing department training video. One of those “this is how not to put together packaging!” It was apparently a big hit.
And great self-effacing humor, at that. I love how they captured the gratuitous lazy misspellings (“I-pod”) that you tend to get from naysayers who want to show how unconcerned they are with calling it by its proper name…
Here’s an article about the movie:

That’s the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time. Thanks!
Well, to be fair to MS, it’s not as if Apple packaging is exactly eye-popping — it’s a case study in pretentious banality (which, come to think of it, describes Apple in general).

There must be. Somewhere.
…and she’s trying to make contact with Steve Wozniak to find out what went wrong.
Hmmm. I saw some discussion over this video on Dean’s World as well.
What strikes me is that very few folkw in either thread evince much respect for Apple’s excellence in industrial design.
I still think their hardware is too expensive (yes, I’m cheap), but any sane bytehead has to stand up, and salute the design of the Apple G5 tower. That thing is just damned sexy.
