No promises, but I’ll try to make time to liveblog the Hitchens/Galloway debate at 5pm Eastern.
UPDATE: Oops. That’s 5pm Mountain. (Thanks, Sarah.)

Awesome…
I got to hear the Pacifica Radio broadcast. I now know the only interest Bush and Cheney have in the Gulf coast is the opportunity to engage Bechtel and Halliburton.
The ‘scene’ is great. Like an Ali – Frasier fight, only with a couple of Chomskyites picking their obvious favorite.
Better and Better. Bush got beat to New Orleans by Patty Sheehan and therefore he doesn’t care.
The debate has been late in getting started, hope you’re going to blog it, just having to listen to the pre-debate commentary and such was almost more than I could take.
I agree. There isn’t much worse than tired old 60′s radicals railing against the war. I feel like I’m at work, where everyone talks this way.
Socialism good. All wars are bad.
The Huffington-Hanson debate was a hoot.
Anyone catch that?
I can’t describe Hitchens opening statement. YOU MUST LISTEN TO IT IN ITS ENTIRETY!
That was quite a smackdown by Hitchens.
For those who missed it.
C-SPAN (Book TV)

or

I can’t wait to see it with video.
I know Stevie, that this isn’t the time or the place for this, but since E mail is so foriegn a concept for you, here we go…I’m in love again…how would you feel about being a best man for me?–Don
VP – know if Hanson/Huffington debate is transcribed anywhere?
Will it be on C-SPAN?
Any Ideas on where to find it?
George G. grew up in Dundee with ingrained blue collar prejudices that he picked up while working in a garden center and Michelin Tyres. He later finessed these prejudices into “a world view” courtesy of Karl MacMarx.
The Galloway world view is pretty basic … there are big rich strong guys who are BAD and poor litle weak guys who are GOOD. Saddam was viewed by George as a poor little weak guy, despite the latters megalomania and Nebuchadnezzar-like pretensions … why? Because little Saddam was up against the very, very BAD Great Satan and co.
The accusation that George was out to line his pockets by sucking up to Saddam is probably untrue. The sadder truth is that George was a Ba’athist cheerleader for reasons that had everything to do with his peculiarly warped ego and deranged world view. His partisan approach had little or nothing to do with what Saddam actually stood for or the possibility of easy coinage.
George is married to one Dr Amireh Abu-Zayyad, a Palestinian academic – but I’m sure that his views would have been equally screwy if he had been a celibate tea totaller.
