Andy, Zomby and I are working on a little something to centralize goods donations for the Denver/Colorado Springs area.
Look for details Thursday or Friday – and a great big ad on the top right corner of this blog.
UPDATE: We’re trying to rope former blogger Matt Traylor into being the point guy for the Fort Collins area. Now if we could get a volunteer to cover Pueblo, we’ll have the entire Front Range pretty well covered.
Anyone?

Hey,
It’s too painful and exhausting for anyone, left or right, to try to make any political hay out of this situation.
We need to help all of our american brothers and sisters effected by Katrina.
A topic that does need to be brought up very soon, is the wisdom of trying to re-build a city below sea level (within striking distance of hurricanes)
While global warning is occuring (I won’t go into the possible causes) is it smart, prudent, fiduciarey, or humaine, to build cities adjacent to the sea that are below sea level?
I have loved visiting the big easy but should it be rebuilt?
Not left or right but a discussion that should take place.
This makes the assumption global warming is happening, which is far from a given.
Whether or not globl warming is occuring, which it may or may not be, there will always be the potential for hurricanes or flooding, and having the city below sea level doesn’t help.
