From Iran

I don’t have a link for this one, so I’ll post it in its entirety, until I can find a link or the author tells me to knock it off. It’s a report from Iran on the growing backlash against the mullahs — and you’ll want to read the whole thing.
Backlash against Clerics legitimacy in Iran – By Alan Peters
Vigorous attacks on the credibility and legitimacy of the clerical leadership in Iran have continued to mount since the February 20, 2004, Majlis (Parliament) elections, which, despite the removal of so-called

Q: is it time to consider renaming the blog “read the whole thing”?
LOL, Frank.
Is “Alan Peters” any kin to “Ralph Peters?” Inquiring minds want to know.

RE: This Stuff….
if it is accurate, is dy-no-mite!
I’ll have to ask my brother-in-law about the allegations that Khomeni was not bona fide, next time I see him.
Thanks,

Wow. Truth is stanger than fiction – or could be, if that story pans out.
This article is a good one – and is known by most Iranians and others who know the truth about Khomenei and the British connection.. sad part is that behind the scenes the brits aren’t really helping freedom and the US – they are screwing us.. an article has begun circulating that documents the truth and must be spread and known to all..
Steve – you’ve probably been sent it via email… if you are running out of space to publsih a long thing then we will look for other blogs or radio programs/etc who publish the truth-bearing article in it’s entirity and send you the link.. this stuff is true — and it’s damning.. finally Americans are getting a true look at what’s been going on..
Second of all I want to say that WE AMERICANS are not fools and we are damn nationalistic.. the british sending 10,000 troops doesn’t fool us one damn bit.. the only ally we need is freedom and the people of the Middle East who want freedom!
I thought that Ayatollahs had to descend from a historical figure. How does one get “granted” the title.
This all very strange, examining a person’s lineage to determine there legitimacy to govern. Its like reading pre-enlightenment European history.
My learned lord, we pray you to proceed

I did a search for “Alan Peters” and “Iran” and also got something on Daniel Pipe’s site. He lists an article by A.P. in which he details a reverse October Surprise under Carter. A.P claims that the storming of the US embassy in Teheran was actually done with the agreement and consent of Carter. Pipes comments:
“One difference between Democrats and Republicans: too many of the former hyped their Khomeini-[Reagan] collusion conspiracy theory, whereas the latter will not touch the above nonsense with a ten-foot pole.”
So, I’m not sure what to think of Alan Peters. If Pipes doesn’t like his report on Carter, I’d tend to side with Pipes.
Anyone else getting tired of cleaning up our “allies” messes?
here’s an important article just released:

…this Anglo-Indian with Arab Sunni Muslim theological and philosophical roots…
Shouldn’t that be Shi’ite theological roots? Did I miss something important in the story? Maybe I did, because I am also completely at a loss to understand why some posters are bashing the British about this. Britain is not getting bigbux from Iran or the UN. Britain is in fact nearly self-sufficient in oil. (I’m not British BTW). If you want to bash some Eurogoofs, how about France, where Khomeini lived for years and which is clearly in cahoots with the present regime?
Ho, hum.
Another pundit opines that If Only We Act Now The Mullahs Will Fall.
[snore]
The Iranian theocracy has been on the verge of crumbling Real Soon Now for about a dozen years.
Don’t hold your breath.
Wake me when something actually *happens*.

Are you sure this article wasn’t written by Joseph Conrad? If true, we could be closer to a peaceful Middle East than it would appear.
what are they reading

Hey great article. I always thought Khomeini was kinda white, but since Iranians are Aryans I never gave it much thought. Didn’t know he was part British. It makes a great mystery novel, but if you think that Khomeini will lose his stature because he was a foreigner, you might be deceiving yourself. Shiites are muslims. they don’t particularly care about the nationality of their leader. It is about how respected he is on religious matters. I wrote a post about the struggle between the Iranian leader Khamenei and the highest Iraqi Shiite leader Al sistani, where I say the Khamenei is using Al sadr to destroy Al Sistani and do what Khomeini did according to this article and that is destroy all rivals to the Shiite throne. my article

Ricky , on the other hand, no one likes getting screwed over by a furriner and though religious matters matter, the exercise of tyrannical secular power, might be found a little much. And Persians do have some significant cultural differences from Arabs.
I’d imagine one could easily get enough annoyance sparked over something like that to make a difference. (Especially since he was 1/2 British too, ooooh, ahhhhh.)
It chips away at things, disapearance of native Ayatollahs, foreigner, british/Indian descent, courtesy title….
Pretty soon people think he’s a fraud and the people weilding power in his name, lose the consent of the governed.
Gee! I bet the mysterious death of Lady Di ties into this somehow. It’s all starting to become clear.

Wow! This goes along way toward explaining the nagging notion I’ve always had of the resemblance of the dreaded “ayatollah” khomeini to actor Sean Connery. They’re both anglos. I’ve always thought that this resemblance meant that Connery was missing a great opportunity to play the role of a lifetime. But with this bombshell, the movie, complete with unraveling K’s bogus Shia credentials, his bogus geneaology, his bogus “ayatollah” incarnation reads like the early years transformation of Adolf Schickellgruber into the totalitarian with past wipped clean we know as Stalin, man of steel. opps. sorry. Hitler. Stalin too though.
IIRC, Stalin was a former newspaper editor.
If you knew who I used to be you’d be surprised too. I’ll give you a hint. Doesn’t it seem strange to you that my appearance on the blogosphere and the appearance of a film about a certain carpenter from Jerusalem coincide? Yes, my children I’m back.

What gives this Ayatollah Williamson story some credence is the presence of checkable facts, namely that one of Khomeini’s brothers took the family name back. Would have liked his DOB and when his father and brothers died tho, as well as their views of their “ayatollah” brother.
THE KHOMEINI FAMILY TREE
A couple of days ago, Stephen Green put up this post, featuring the writing of one Alan Peters, who made a number of assertions about the family background of Ayatollah Khomeini, and how Khomeini’s background may have influenced a number…
